I live with 4 "boys". My husband have two young sons, whom we affectionately call "Thing 1" and "Thing 2". My 87 year old dad lives with us - he can't hear a thing, but he is amazing and we all are crazy about him.
I have been a registered Democrat since 1980, when I turned 18. I was raised in a home where I was reminded that my 1st birthday party on November 29, 1963 was cancelled because everyone was in mourning over the Kennedy assassination. My experience exemplifies the American Dream. My parents were born to immigrant parents, who worked hard to provide for their families. Through hard work and education, my husband and I have been fortunate to have interesting professions that we enjoy and we are able to give back to our community. Our lives are busy, but full. I have typically supported liberal social programs, but am fiscally conservative. I am such a "demoncratic" cliche that my photo could be used for Republican target practice - right down to my Volvo station wagon, which I recently replaced with a hybrid.
